About TGL Scholarship Program
The Scholar's Aid Programme is a joint venture (JV) partner sponsored program led by Tullow Oil Ghana Ltd, to offer scholarship to prospective Ghanaian students from the coastal communities in the Western Region to enable them to pursue secondary school education. The scholarship is for both boarding and day students studying courses in any government-sponsored Senior High Schools and institutions offering Technical Vocational Education and Training in any of the sixteen regions in Ghana.
The scholarship aims to provide financial, material and psychosocial support for the selected beneficiaries over the length of their studies; subject to the performance of scholars. It will cover all costs related to their studies, including essentials and learning materials. The award of this competitive scholarship will be based on merit and awarded through an open and transparent process.

Eligibility & Availability
The scholarship is open to students; regardless of religion, age, gender or field of study.
In order to apply the students should meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a Ghanaian and resident in the local community

Be an indigene from any of the following coastal districts in the Western Region:
- Jomoro
- Ellembelle
- Nzema East
- Ahanta West
- Sekondi-Takoradi
- Effiankwanta-Kwesimintim
- Shama
- Be a student in the final year of a local Junior High School, be in the process of writing or should have completed the Basic Education Certificate Exams and due to start the first year of a government-approved Senior High School or Technical, Vocational, Education and Training institution.
